THE FUTURE OF YOUR FAMILY, ASSETS, AND BUSINESSES.
As a Partner with Law & Stein, LLP, Shauna R. Anderson has established herself as a Certified Specialist from the California State Board of Legal Specialization in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, probate administration, and tax planning. She is published on Thomson Reuters in the growing area of working with clients with diminished capacity (Alzheimer’s dementia), making her an accomplished resource for the firm and families dealing with this sensitive and emotional matter.
Shauna has worked with over 3,200 families and she has a passion to get to know each of them personally. This allows her to have a better understanding of her client’s goals which generally include planning for a period of incapacity, probate avoidance, family wealth preservation, government benefit eligibility and planning, and the reduction or elimination of estate, gift and other tax consequences.
With over a decade of experience, she understands not only the intricate complexities of the law but appreciates the emotional challenges one can go through while preparing their plan. Her tenacious, pro-active and thoughtful approach helps streamline the planning process which takes the burden off the client.
Prior to joining as a Partner with Law & Stein, LLP, Shauna founded her own practice where some of her trust projects included revocable and irrevocable trusts (e.g. Dynasty Trusts, Multi-Generational Trusts, Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts); Qualified Personal Residence Trusts; Medi-Cal trusts; IRA Beneficiary Trusts; Special Needs Trust; etc.). She also enjoys educating and assisting successor trustees during the trust administration process.
As a Certified Specialist in estate planning, Shauna continues to be featured as a guest speaker on cutting-edge estate planning strategies and has been published in the areas of estate planning.
