Chad is an Associate with Law & Stein, LLP. His practice focuses on the representation of clients in litigated matters involving trust and probate disputes, breaches of fiduciary obligations, allegations of trustee wrongdoing and claims of elder abuse. Chad also represents clients involved in real estate disputes, partnership disputes, and premises liability issues as well as businesses & corporations. He strives to help his clients settle disputes pre-litigation, and continue to pursue settlement options during litigation, but if a matter is heading to trial, his clients can rest assured the team will be more prepared than the other side. Chad is admitted to practice law in the State of California, the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Prior to joining Law & Stein, LLP, Chad focused on commercial and residential real estate matters, business entity disputes, asset backed private offerings, labor and employment matters, contracts, corporate counsel matters and collections. He has also handled litigation matters involving insurance defense, personal injury, class actions, labor and employment, mass tort, and bankruptcy matters.
Early on, Chad had the privilege of gaining a substantial amount of trial experience in addition to general litigation experience. At his previous firm, he was second chair to the founding partner on a number of defense trials. In the spring of 2011, Mr. Brandel attended and completed the Orange County Bar Association’s 29th College of Trial Advocacy, an immersive course focusing solely on the nuances of trial. Since then, Chad has had the opportunity to try both jury and bench trials.
Chad received his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA. He was also selected as a Southern California Rising Star in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
